Consumer Privacy 2-Parter: Hear what lessons can be learned now that the California Consumer Privacy Act is in place during the first session on Sept. 16th from 1:00-1:45. Then after a short break, tune back in for “The Emerging Privacy Landscape” (2:00-2:45) to learn about data literacy and your brand’s marketing ecosystem. Brann & Isaacson Partner David Swetnam-Burland, Crutchfield’s CIO Jeff Bingaman (left), and other panelists will prep you for the complexity and fluidity of evolving privacy laws, which stand to overwhelm brands’ abilities to keep on top of updates.​
 
Remote Sales Tax Collection, Post-Wayfair: Brad Scott, Halstead Bead’s director of finance, chairs ACMA’s revamped Tax Committee and along with fellow committee member, Linda Lester, VP of K-Log (both pictured at a March House Small Business subcommittee hearing with FindTape Founder Kevin Maloney in between), and other members, he will share D.C. lobbying stories and provide an update on how the committee intends to get Federal legislation passed to make sales tax collection easier for remote merchants. Capitol Hill Day (Virtual)Sept. 30th (meeting times t/b/a): All registrants will be grouped accordingly by district to meet with House and Senators in strategic Congressional committees that oversee ACMA’s core interests: postal, privacy, tax, trade, plus any other issues registrants or groups wish to address. Be sure to fill out all fields on the registration form to help us place you in an appropriate group.
 
Registration Details: Your registration will cover all the sessions on Sept. 2,9,16 & 23. There’s no fee, but space is limited so please sign up now. For the virtual fly-in on Sept. 30th, you will be sent a separate Zoom invite later this month. Please note: Since we are setting up specific meetings for you on the 30th, be sure to keep us informed if your plans change. Online meetings will be set up based on all registrants’ locations and specific interests.
