Retail Sales in Canada Continue Ticking Upward

According to Statistics Canada, retail sales increased 2.9% in Q2 2016 compared with the same period of 2015. The increase came after strong 4.5% growth in Q1. Further, in 2016, eMarketer estimates that total retail sales will reach C$522.62 billion ($408.78 billion), up 1.7% over 2015. Retail eCommerce sales will grow much faster at 14.9%, but still account for just 6.5% of the total.
